Whether you call it a celery jar or vase or candleholder, it's pretty on the table. It stands 8 inches so it's a good size for any use. They were very popular in the 1920's and 30's I understand.
What a cheery piece to burn your tarts & wafers in. It's only 5 inches tall and from handle to spout it's only 9 inches. It has a sizeable well for the wafer to melt in and the opening for the tealight is generous. The sunflowers and the sunny yellow trim are a great addition, too.
This is such a clever idea. The idea is to fill the candleholder with water which causes the candle to float. You needn't worry about the candlewax dripping because of the water.
